1. Wachtberger Jugendfestival "Rock for Youth"

Vier jugendliche Bands aus der Umgebung rockten im Rahmen des Wachtberger Kinder- und Jugendkulturtages den Berkumer Steinbruch am Stumpeberg.

Los ging es um 18.00 Uhr mit der jungen Band "Rising Universe". Im Anschluss spielte "Black Lemon" aus Königswinter. "Used to Remind" präsentierte Metal Choir und den Abschluss bildete die ehemals Wachtberger Band "Gunnar!".
Das gute Wetter und die einzigartige Atmosphäre des Steinbruchs machten das Rockkonzert zu einem Erfolg.

Ein halbes Jahr haben die Vorbereitungen gedauert, nachdem uns der Wachtberger Jugendrat (JuRa) im Frühjahr um Unterstützung bei der Planung und Durchführung von "Rock for Youth" gebeten hatte. Damit der Rahmen stimmt, haben Sebastian und Markus zusammen mit dem Vorstand des JuRa's viel Energie in die Vorbereitung gesteckt.
Während des Konzerts waren dauerhaft ca. 15 Helfer von MOVE und JuRa im Einsatz. Ein Dankeschön gilt unseren zahlreichen Sponsoren.

Zugegeben, an der Zuschauerzahl arbeiten wir noch, aber es gab auch keinen Grund unzufrieden zu sein. Die Rückmeldungen zeigen uns, dass das Festival erfolgreich war.
Die Planungen für das nächste Jahr haben zwar noch nicht begonnen, aber es ist ja auch erst zwei Tage her...
