Erster Meilenstein für einen Pumptrack in Wachtberg

Bereits im Sommer 2019 kam Micha Kowollik auf MOVE zu und fragte, was wir von einem Pumptrack in Wachtberg halten. Schnell war die Begeisterung groß und das Projekt nahm seinen Lauf. Zunächst galt es die Gemeinde ins Boot zu holen. In Kooperation mit der Jugendfachkraft der Gemeinde Wachtberg, Claudia Schmidt, wurde das Projekt vorangetrieben, die rechtlichen Bestimmungen wurden geklärt und auch ein passender Platz wurde schnell gefunden.

Am 27.05. galt es die erste Hürde zu nehmen: Das Projekt wurde dem Ausschuss für Bildung, Generationen, Sport, Soziales und Kultur vorgestellt. Ziel der Vorstellung war es, das Projekt in der Verwaltung und Politik bekannter zu machen und einen finanziellen Zuschuss zu bekommen.

Die Fraktionen bekamen im Vorhinein Information über unser Vorhaben. Claudia Schmidt und Micha Kowollik stellten das Projekt den Mitgliedern des Ausschusses vor und beantworteten im Anschluss einige Fragen. Die Vorstellung beinhaltete vier Entwürfe zu verschieden Modelvarianten. Diese unterschieden sich in der Größe der Strecke und dem Anschaffungspreis. Da die Ausschussmitglieder sich im Vorhinein ein Bild machen konnten, was genau es mit dem Projekt auf sich hat, baten sie um die Möglichkeit, dass das Projekt von den Initiatoren auch in den Fraktionssitzungen vorgestellt wird. Dazu sind wir gerne bereit und haben im Nachgang zur Sitzung Kontakt zu den jeweiligen Fraktionsvorsitzenden genommen.

Letztlich lässt sich sagen, dass alle anwesenden Ausschussmitglieder sehr positiv gestimmt waren. Wir schauen zuversichtlich in die Zukunft und freuen uns auf die neue Herausforderung.
